All lace everything.
- I will not let anyone make me feel inferior
- I will not base my self-perception off of others’ perceptions of me
- I will not compare my journey or self to others’ journeys or sense of self
- I will continue to strive to love myself
- I will surround myself with love and positivity
- I will use all negative energy or energy reserved for negative or jealous thoughts to better myself in my eyes
- I will not let others define my beauty
- I will not let judgements past on me affect who I am
- I will not change myself for the sake of those around me
- I will not live in fear based on perceived perceptions of myself by others
I am an extremely self-conscious individual; I’m overly self-aware and constantly questioning my sense of self when I’m around other people. It’s something that I have always battled with and being so has taken a toll on my esteem and chipped away at my public personality. I recently decided to take time to sit with myself and discover the root of my feeling this way. In doing so, I’ve pinpointed 10 tips/steps towards self-love and I thought that I would share it with you all in case there are any of you out there doubting yourself because of your self-perceptions through the perceptions of others.

Dear Self,
- It is okay.
- It is okay to go to sleep when you are tired, even if other people aren’t yet.
- It is okay to sleep as many hours as you need, rather than as few as you can survive on.
- It is okay to eat when you are hungry, even if other people aren’t yet.
- It is okay to eat food you actually like, and you don’t always have to share it.
- It is okay to put the heating on if you are cold. Or wear more clothes.
- It is okay to use enough hot water for baths to be actually warm.
- It is okay to stop talking if you run out of spoons.
- It is okay to play the albums you want to hear rather than only the ones you know the people around you like.
- It is okay to say “no” to people.
- It is okay to say “no” to people even when the question was “are you okay?”
- It is okay to have free time.
- It is okay to switch your phone off sometimes.
- It is okay to change your mind.
- It is okay to stop liking things. Or start.
- It is okay to not keep things you don’t want.
- It is okay to keep things you do want.
- It is okay to ask for help with your problems. Yes, even when your friends have problems too.
- It is okay to pray if you need/want to. Even if people are looking.
- It is okay to make mistakes.
- It is okay to take up space in the world.
- It is okay to expect and ask for fair and humane treatment from others.
- It is okay that you exist.
Love,
Me.

This is incredible and I’m also going to add
emergencykitten.comBecause who doesn’t occasionally have an emergency that requires a kitten
someone who’s pretty: ugh i’m ugly :(
me: i’m not going to judge or mock u for saying this bc despite how u look or how others perceive u i get that you can have self-confidence issues and be self-conscious literally no matter what u look like! so ur not alone and i hope u feel better abt urself in the future
Self reminder: you’re still young and you’re not supposed to have your whole life figured out yet. Don’t stress. Everything will work out.
